Howdy Neighbor!

At Howdy Homestead + Market, we focus on small-batch sourdough made with time, care, and simple ingredients. Each loaf is naturally fermented and baked fresh for the weekend, offering a better kind of bread, right in your neighborhood.

We hope you’ll take the time to look around, learn more about sourdough, and consider supporting us through one of our many ordering options.

What is Sourdough?

Sourdough is probably the closest thing we have to magic in the kitchen. At its simplest, it is just flour, water, and salt. Through the slow magic of fermentation, those three ingredients come together to create something deeply flavorful and naturally more nourishing.

Meet the Baker

B →

B is for baker! It also just happens to be the name of our Founder and Executive Baker. She is a Graphic Designer by trade, spending her days creating brands and designing websites for local and national companies. In the evenings and on weekends, supported by her wife and daughter, she puts her heart and soul into creating, growing, and baking everything that is Howdy Homestead + Market.

Caroline is Howdy’s cheerleader and logistics officer. Without her support and level-headed reason, Howdy would not be able to function. She is also our head taste-tester. Every item must meet her approval. She has the final say on what makes it to our neighbors and clients.

Juni is our Chief Snuggle Officer and Sweets Tester. She loves to hang out in the kitchen watching things rise in the oven, put labels on packages, help at the markets, and test all the sweets (cookies especially). Most importantly she tells us we are doing a good job and gives great hugs.
